1.  JAMES1 HARVEY was born 1753 in St Helens, and died 15 Feb 1837 in Merstone, Isle of Wight.  He married HANNAH.  She was born 1757, and died 13 Mar 1839 in Pound, Merstone, Isle of Wight.

2.  ANNE2 HARVEY (JAMES1) was born 08 Jul 1781 in St Helens, Isle of Wight, and died 08 Oct 1834 in Arreton, Isle of Wight.  She married RICHARD THARLE.  

 

Children of ANNE HARVEY and RICHARD THARLE are:

i. FRANCES3 THARLE, d. 04 Apr 1836, Arreton, Isle of Wight.

ii. RICHARD THARLE, b. 1802, St Helens, Isle of Wight; d. 24 Apr 1853, Arreton, Isle of Wight.

iii. HANNAH THARLE, b. 1814; d. 24 Jun 1840, Arreton, Isle of Wight.

iv. MATILDA THARLE, b. 1817, Arreton, Isle of Wight; d. 1893, Isle of Wight; m. JAMES HAYLES, 09 Aug 1854, Godshill, Isle of Wight; b. 1817, Godshill, Isle of Wight.

 

Notes for MATILDA THARLE:

In 1841 Matilda was living with her older brother Richard.  Matilda was still living with her brother Richard in 1851.  On the census it stated that she was 'employed at home'.  By the 1861 census Matilda had married James Hayles and was now living on Yard Farm.  She was still there in 1871.  In the census of 1881 Matilda had moved to Lower Yard Farm.  In the census of 1891 Matilda was still living at Lower Yard Farm with her husband James Hayles.  They appeared to have no children.  Matilda passed away in 1893.  However, not before she had erected gravestones in memory of her mother, her brother Richard, her sisters Hannah and Frances, her grandfather James Harvey, her grandmother Hannah Harvey and her niece Sarah Ann Tharle in the churchyard at Arreton.
