The transcript below has been produced to help trace my WATERHOUSE roots in the Totland area and to try and get a feel of what life must have been like at that time. The transcript is taken from the original census images with I have transcribed. I will add the available census gradually to try and show how life progressed in this area throughout the 19th century. The WATERHOUSE family helped build this thriving Victorian community, Thomas and later his son William planned and built many of the villas in Totland. The plans and drawings to most of the properties are held by the Totland Parish Council in their archives. If you think there are any errors in the transcription please let me know.
